“The gangsters now wear a 3 piece suit and sit in their offices on Wall St.” - Senator Bernie Sanders
Occupy Main St

Stand in solidarity with the #occupy movement by staging demonstrations in your town. Not all people can attend the larger general assemblies, but we can do our own actions on the local level to highlight the bigger movement and to create solidarity.

Things you can do that are small, but make a big difference:

1. Put signs in your yard. Choose a message or just use one of the numerous ORG's url to bring attention to the movement. Occupy Wall St would be great. The more attention there the better.

2. Organize a local group to stage a local event. It is imperative that we work on the local level to address these issues. Your representation starts at home with your local government. Community action does yield results. The louder the better.

3. Spread the word through various social media.

4. Call your local news affiliates and demand coverage.

5. If you are unemployed and have the time, get a sign and walk up and down Main St, or whatever the main drag in your town is. You're gonna get harassed, but what do you have to lose?

At the least, submit a post or a comment and tell us what you think. We are the 99%. Solidarity.
